Caringbah's Lorimer Gissane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brant Kennedy in the 8th minute of play. Lorimer Gissane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rick Rosenboom, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Rick Rosenboom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorimer Gissane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Edmonds Tebbit left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goochticklas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Rick Rosenboom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brant Kennedy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lorimer Gissane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmonds Tebbit's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Caringbah's Lorimer Gissane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Caringbah from getting a goal against them. In the 53rd minute, Nathaniel Favas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the game, Goochticklas's Brant Kennedy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorimer Gissane made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Rick Rosenboom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caringbah's Nathaniel Favas got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Nathaniel Favas off the ground. Nathaniel Favas hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Larkins Hicks took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lorimer Gissane. Caringbah's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Caringbah's goal looked a bit too open when Rick Rosenboom came free, but Lorimer Gissane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Caringbah getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alfred Inwood hit a great ball. In the 66th minute Rick Rosenboom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorimer Gissane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brant Kennedy in the 68th minute of play forced Caringbah's goalkeeper Lorimer Gissane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute of the match Larkins Hicks sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lorimer Gissane skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Edmonds Tebbit's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lorimer Gissane was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Caringbah! Edmonds Tebbit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorimer Gissane having to interfere. A wasted opportunity for Goochticklas. 85 minutes into the match, Rick Rosenboom notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Caringbah's Lorimer Gissane. Lorimer Gissane was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lorimer Gissane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Travers, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Caringbah's zone, Rick Rosenboom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorimer Gissane came out of the goal and Rick Rosenboom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lorimer Gissane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brant Kennedy in the 98th minute of play. Goochticklas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
