In the 20th match minute, Millfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Millard to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Duffield United's goal looked a bit too open when Corey Wilde came free, but Furkan Sweet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Millfield's Russ Macumber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Gissane in the 27th minute of play. Ryan Renshaw's late challenge caught a Millfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ryan Renshaw helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Duffield United getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ryan Renshaw hit a great ball. When Max Gissane came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Duffield United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Max Gissane couldn't finish the play. Russ Macumber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Gissane in the 75th minute of the match. When Duffield United's Max Gissane in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
