Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bishop Lambourne took the kick off in the first half of the match. Downing Millard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Rose went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Downing Millard came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Le Grub's Bishop Lambourne. But to his dismay, Bishop Lambourne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Downing Millard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Rose in the 17th minute of play. Downing Millard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reese Dollimore, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A collision led to FC Le Grub getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Bishop Lambourne hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bishop Lambourne in the 25th minute of play forced Castlecrag's goalkeeper Downing Millard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacobs Whelpton during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jacobs Whelpton kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Paz Castray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Castlecrag's Conner Notley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aaron Carr narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bradshaw Allan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conner Notley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 35 minutes into the match, Castlecrag's goal looked a bit too open when Reese Dollimore came free, but Downing Millard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Le Grub's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Conner Notley scored to the left of an out of position Aaron Carr, making the score, 1-2. A collision led to FC Le Grub getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Hank Weeks hit a great ball. Conner Notley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conner Notley to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes FC Le Grub got a freekick which was hit by Hank Weeks. With a little luck, Castlecrag's Downing Millard got control of the ball when Reese Dollimore tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Conner Notley came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Castlecrag fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conner Notley couldn't finish the play. If Bradshaw Allan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reese Dollimore came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Downing Millard could save by the left post. Castlecrag were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after FC Le Grub's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Conner Notley took the corner. Castlecrag's Conner Notley was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aaron Carr in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. FC Le Grub's Aaron Carr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradshaw Allan in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Paz Castray fired a really elegant long shot, but Downing Millard threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 82 minutes into the match, Castlecrag's goal looked a bit too open when John Calver came free, but Downing Millard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conner Notley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Carr having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Conner Notley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castlecrag's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conner Notley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reese Dollimore got free with Downing Millard in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Conner Notley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castlecrag's supporters rose to their feet, but Conner Notley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Carr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chants of FC Le Grub echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Castlecrag had held the ball for most of the match.
