The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Shepperd getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Earnest Hands hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Bradshaw Allan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elliot Letsch. Shepperd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bradshaw Allan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Jesse Holdsworth recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Downing Millard. Jesse Holdsworth showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After 12 played minutes Shepperd got a freekick which was hit by Al Castray. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradshaw Allan in the 13th minute of play forced Shepperd's goalkeeper Elliot Letsch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Castlecrag's Downing Millard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Holdsworth in the 17th minute of play. Downing Millard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casper Brien, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Castlecrag's Randall Sparrow seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Randall Sparrow the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Castlecrag protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Randall Sparrow had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Earnest Hands hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Downing Millard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Earnest Hands in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Conner Notley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castlecrag's supporters rose to their feet, but Conner Notley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elliot Letsch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronald Castner charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronald Castner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th minute, Ronald Castner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bradshaw Allan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliot Letsch having to interfere. Downing Millard was a little too slow when Jesse Holdsworth got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conner Notley made a kick off. Barth Bowman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Downing Millard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesse Holdsworth struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Downing Millard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shepperd. Jesse Holdsworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Downing Millard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Castlecrag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobs Whelpton to maneuver through the defense. Downing Millard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesse Holdsworth in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute Barth Bowman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Downing Millard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Earnest Hands hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 played minutes Shepperd got a freekick which was hit by Barth Bowman. Downing Millard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barth Bowman in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Castlecrag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradshaw Allan to maneuver through the defense. Downing Millard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casper Brien in the 90th minute of play. Conner Notley hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Shepperd's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
