Russ Macumber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Connolly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Millfield getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Arne Millard hit a great ball. Nathan Prior hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Corey Wilde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Millfield booed when Ridgley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Earnest Algoud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Russ Macumber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Connolly, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Millfield's zone, Earnest Algoud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Russ Macumber came out of the goal and Earnest Algoud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Jacob Connolly made the kick off in the second half. Corey Wilde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danny Barry charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danny Barry the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Danny Barry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Corey Wilde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. Danny Barry was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 81 minutes into the game, one of Ridgley:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Millfield. Steve Adamson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Martin Legg. 1-1. Matthias Renny kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Corey Wilde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Ridgley's Martin Legg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corey Wilde in the 92nd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Millfield's goalkeeper Russ Macumber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Earnest Algoud. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
