Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Corey Wilde took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Corey Wilde in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Furkan Sweet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 9 minutes, Arne Millard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Millard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Duffield United's zone, Corey Wilde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Furkan Sweet came out of the goal and Corey Wilde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Max Gissane struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Russ Macumber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duffield United. Albert Cameron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arne Millard during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arne Millard kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Millfield's Corey Wilde got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Duffield United booed when Millfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Millard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 minutes of play Millfield's Arne Millard was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 25 played minutes Millfield got a freekick which was hit by Arne Millard. In the 27th minute, Corey Wilde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Duffield United booed when Millfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neal Hursey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 played minutes, Duffield United's Albert Cameron shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Russ Macumber came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Duffield United reached it. In the 34th minute, Bo Raison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Cameron took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Russ Macumber. Millfield's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Millfield's goal looked a bit too open when Max Gissane came free, but Russ Macumber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corey Wilde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Furkan Sweet having to interfere. Russ Macumber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Gissane in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Albert Cameron fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Duffield United's protests and gave Albert Cameron a yellow card for diving instead. Steve Adamson kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Max Gissane succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. When Ryan Renshaw came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Duffield United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan Renshaw couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute Max Gissane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russ Macumber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corey Wilde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Max Gissane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 89 in the game by Ryan Renshaw from a close distance when the talented Russ Macumber managed to make a qualified save. Millfield's players were relieved. The Duffield United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Duffield United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
