Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Randolph Jobson got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Adelaide United FC defense, Randolph Jobson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tom Seistrup. The Adelaide United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tom Seistrup should have stopped the shot. Lowrey Bundy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Vasile Ciolac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Randolph Jobson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tom Seistrup. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of Mellis booed when Adelaide United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Muddle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes, Mellis's Henry Fitzsimmons shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tom Seistrup came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mellis reached it. Vasile Ciolac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Laws in the 18th minute of play. Tom Seistrup was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and David Bîlbă capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Bîlbă really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 22nd minute, Mellis's Henry Fitzsimmons dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. If Randolph Jobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, David Bîlbă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tom Seistrup was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After 33 played minutes Adelaide United FC got a freekick which was hit by Darin Ogle. Tom Seistrup was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Bîlbă showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 35 minute of play. In the 38th minute, Mellis's David Bîlbă dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-0. Tom Seistrup was a little too slow when Randolph Jobson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 8-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Nathaniel Quinn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tom Seistrup. That made the score 9-0 in the 45 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 9-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Duncan Oneill to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Adelaide United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lowrey Bundy to maneuver through the defense. David Bîlbă hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Tom Seistrup came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Mellis's David Bîlbă. But to his dismay, David Bîlbă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. 59 minutes into the match, Adelaide United FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Bîlbă came free, but Tom Seistrup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, David Bîlbă made a precise shot to the right of Tom Seistrup. Adelaide United FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. Adelaide United FC's Tom Seistrup played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randolph Jobson in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Adelaide United FC's Brandes Sinden got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellis's goalkeeper Vasile Ciolac, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adelaide United FC's Tom Seistrup played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Bîlbă in the 71st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Adelaide United FC's Vasile Ciolac threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lowrey Bundy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Adelaide United FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Russ Thiele hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Nathaniel Quinn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Randolph Jobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tom Seistrup came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mellis's David Bîlbă. But to his dismay, David Bîlbă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. Brynn Warren hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Randolph Jobson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mellis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-0. Tom Seistrup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randolph Jobson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nathaniel Quinn might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom Seistrup. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nathaniel Quinn ran back to his position shaking his head. Mellis's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
