Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dan Pearman took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iggi Wakefield. Iggi Wakefield dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 6 minutes, Loyd Edwards mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moongobulla and the Laugi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Laugi booed when Moongobulla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loyd Edwards didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Laugi's Ringo Curtis threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from James Hodge, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Laugi's Neil Rhoades in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moongobulla's goalie prevented a goal. After 14 minutes, James Hodge made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Moongobulla's Ringo Curtis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. James Hodge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ringo Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ringo Curtis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Rhoades in the 21st minute. Ringo Curtis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Hodge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Dan Pearman made a precise shot to the right of Iggi Wakefield. Laugi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. If James Hodge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Rhoades in the 30th minute of play forced Moongobulla's goalkeeper Ringo Curtis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Peter Crane left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moongobulla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Pearman in the 40th minute of play forced Laugi's goalkeeper Iggi Wakefield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Peter Crane ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iggi Wakefield was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling James Hodge in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ringo Curtis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Laugi's Iggi Wakefield proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Laugi from getting a goal against them. 54 minutes into the game, Peter Crane recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iggi Wakefield. Peter Crane showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Peter Crane kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Iggi Wakefield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Crane in the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Moongobulla's Dan Pearman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iggi Wakefield made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Dan Pearman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Iggi Wakefield made a huge save. Iggi Wakefield made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Pearman in the 75th minute. Iggi Wakefield made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Peter Crane sent off a good shot on target. Dan Pearman scored 1-7 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iggi Wakefield, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Laugi's Neil Rhoades got a free kick in the 81st minute. Iggi Wakefield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Crane in the 82nd minute of the match. After 83 played minutes Laugi got a freekick which was hit by Ike Cubit. In the 83rd minute, Peter Crane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dan Pearman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Iggi Wakefield made a huge save. Dan Pearman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iggi Wakefield having to interfere. In the 88th minute Dan Pearman suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andre Lucas during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Moongobulla made a substitution. Ivan Kurth replaced Dan Pearman. After a rather tough play, Laugi's Andre Lucas got a free kick in the 90th minute. Peter Crane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Kurth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Iggi Wakefield made a huge save. Moongobulla's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
