An unexpectedly hard shot by Nash Petty in the 45th minute of play forced Cockatoo's goalkeeper Berkeley Trevena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Cockatoo's goal looked a bit too open when Marshal Willison came free, but Berkeley Trevena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nash Petty stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Otto Dalglish hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Benney Schenck charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benney Schenck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Glenlusk getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Benney Schenck hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Cockatoo defense, Alex Hursey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berkeley Trevena. The Cockatoo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berkeley Trevena should have stopped the shot. Berkeley Trevena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nash Petty in the 97th minute of play. Glenlusk's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
