Finley's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Reese Czaczka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Moon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Finley's Boyde Renny got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Farley's goal looked a bit too open when Conner Perrett came free, but Randall Ziliotto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Boyde Renny's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Randall Ziliotto was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The Farley fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Farley's Ray Maciver looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ray Maciver in the 82nd minute of play forced Finley's goalkeeper Reese Czaczka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Finley's Angelo Waterland got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Reese Czaczka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ray Maciver in the 87th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Finley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Pound to maneuver through the defense. After 91 minutes, Drake Kirkham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Farley and the Finley players grew even worse after the yellow card.
