Bert Diehl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustacio Astrada's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Eustacio Astrada put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bert Diehl. Todd Morrison might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bert Diehl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Todd Morrison ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13thth minute of the game Eustacio Astrada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Farleigh's Bert Diehl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bert Diehl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humphrey Virgin in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Crusaders's Suavi Turhan got a free kick in the 15th minute. Farleigh's Nick Powderham shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ernest Paddle but with some difficulty. In the 18th minute, Eustacio Astrada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Eustacio Astrada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bert Diehl was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Bert Diehl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humphrey Virgin in the 23rd minute of play. Humphrey Virgin took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bert Diehl. Bert Diehl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Humphrey Virgin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bert Diehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Morrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Bert Diehl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humphrey Virgin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Astrada in the 34th minute of play forced Farleigh's goalkeeper Bert Diehl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bert Diehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Morrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute, Eustacio Astrada made a precise shot to the right of Bert Diehl. Farleigh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. A collision led to Crusaders getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Abel Alonso hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bern Beverley was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Bert Diehl managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Crusaders's Eustacio Astrada fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 56 minutes into the match, Todd Morrison notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Farleigh's Bert Diehl. Bert Diehl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eustacio Astrada in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bert Diehl, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 62 minutes into the game, Eustacio Astrada recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bert Diehl. Eustacio Astrada showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Crusaders's Nath Hislop was substituted for Todd Morrison. Nath Hislop received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bert Diehl came out and tried to block the shot, but Nath Hislop slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 68th minute. Ernest Paddle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casper Carlisle, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Bert Diehl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nath Hislop in the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humphrey Virgin in the 75th minute of play forced Farleigh's goalkeeper Bert Diehl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Farleigh's Bert Diehl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nath Hislop in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Farleigh's goal looked a bit too open when Humphrey Virgin came free, but Bert Diehl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bert Diehl made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Eustacio Astrada sent off a good shot on target. Crusaders's Patryk Lisewski was substituted for Humphrey Virgin. Eustacio Astrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Bert Diehl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Crusaders played a much better game than Farleigh and deserved their victory. The Farleigh players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
