The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peter Crane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Carlisle Askew was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlisle Askew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Crane, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Dan Pearman struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Carlisle Askew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moongobulla. With a little luck, Moongobulla's Ringo Curtis got control of the ball when Berkeley Wharton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Berkeley Wharton kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 27thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Moongobulla's keeper Ringo Curtis was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 30 minutes into the match, Goal Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Crane came free, but Carlisle Askew reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Goal Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Pearman came free, but Carlisle Askew reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Pearman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlisle Askew having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute Loyd Edwards shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlisle Askew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlisle Askew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Pearman, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Moongobulla's attentive Jeremy Wal managed to snatch the ball when Mario Domeka made a throw-in in the 47th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Dan Pearman hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Goal Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Crane came free, but Carlisle Askew reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Goal Fc's Carlisle Askew proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Goal Fc from getting a goal against them. With his leg Carlisle Askew managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Moongobulla's Peter Crane fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Carlisle Askew made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Loyd Edwards sent off a good shot on target. Moongobulla's Ringo Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Domeka in the 59th minute of play. If Dan Pearman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlisle Askew made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Crane in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Crane in the 64th minute of play forced Goal Fc's goalkeeper Carlisle Askew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Freeman hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the game, Peter Crane recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlisle Askew. Peter Crane showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 72nd minute, Goal Fc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dan Pearman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 75th minute, Loyd Edwards left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moongobulla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 78 minutes into the game, Dan Pearman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlisle Askew. Dan Pearman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. After a rather tough play, Goal Fc's Jamie Collins got a free kick in the 81st minute. Dan Pearmans short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Carlisle Askew to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Dalwood Lenard fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goal Fc's protests and gave Dalwood Lenard a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Moongobulla booed when Goal Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalwood Lenard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Peter Crane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peter Crane hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the game, one of Goal Fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 96 minutes, Moongobulla's Peter Crane got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Carlisle Askew.
