An unexpectedly hard shot by Downing Millgate in the 16th minute of play forced Hedges's goalkeeper Peter Algoud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Algoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Downing Millgate in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matthews Block in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Algoud saved Hedges from getting behind. Marshal Aliendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eavan Deal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Shearn in the 23rd minute of play forced Hedges's goalkeeper Peter Algoud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Matthews Block shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Algoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hedges's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Bill Triplett's late challenge caught a Clovass's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bill Triplett helped the player get up and apologised. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marshal Aliendi was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Clovass getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Downing Millgate hit a great ball. Brannan Blackham struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Eavan Deal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hedges. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marshal Aliendi in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eavan Deal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Matthews Block had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Algoud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murphy Kuskopf, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Marshal Aliendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eavan Deal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brannan Blackham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eavan Deal having to make a save. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Clovass's Murphy Kuskopf in the 74th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Peter Algoud was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Hedges through an amazing save. Hedges's Peter Algoud proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Hedges from getting a goal against them. When Brannan Blackham came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Hedges fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brannan Blackham couldn't finish the play. Ryan Shearn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Clovass defense, Rodd Pears kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eavan Deal. The Clovass fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eavan Deal should have stopped the shot. In the 94th match minute, Clovass was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boyde Mewburn to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Clovass had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
