Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ringo Limmer got the match started through his kick off. Flinders's Davey Haslem got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, one of Wowagin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wowagin. Murdock Willding kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Rufus Powderham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eavan Missen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eavan Missen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rufus Powderham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Wowagin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berny Mueller to maneuver through the defense. Davey Haslem struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Rufus Powderham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flinders. In the 27th minute, Kirby Barry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Davey Haslem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flinders fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Davey Haslem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Rufus Powderham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davey Haslem got free with Rufus Powderham in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eavan Missen in the 44th minute of play forced Wowagin's goalkeeper Rufus Powderham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Eavan Missen made the kick off in the second half. Rufus Powderham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eavan Missen's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Rufus Powderham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eavan Missen in the 72nd minute of play. Murdock Willding hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. With 77 minutes on the clock, Bishop Burmeister commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wowagin! Wowagin:s Rufus Powderham showed great skill when he stopped Everitt Goodward:s penalty. Davey Haslem's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rufus Powderham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Davey Haslem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Powderham having to interfere. Rufus Powderham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eavan Missen in the 88th minute of the match. Eavan Missen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Rufus Powderham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Wowagin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carman Sparks to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes into the match, Flinders's Everitt Goodward sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rufus Powderham narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
