Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hedges's Marshal Aliendi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brooker Coburn hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The supporters of Hedges booed when Prospect was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brook Bonham didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Marshal Aliendi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Prospect's Norman Reiter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brook Bonham kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Meyer Domenichetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hedges booed when Prospect was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brook Bonham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Mudie hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Dwight Sayner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Algoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Prospect's zone, Marshal Aliendi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norman Reiter came out of the goal and Marshal Aliendi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brannan Blackham struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Norman Reiter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hedges. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dwight Sayner during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dwight Sayner kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After 39 minutes, Berkeley Wenham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hedges and the Prospect players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Hedges was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berkeley Wenham to maneuver through the defense. Peter Algoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagan Delahide in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hedges's goalkeeper Peter Algoud, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marshal Aliendi in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norman Reiter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Brannan Blackham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marshal Aliendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Reiter having to interfere. After the first half Hedges were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dagan Delahide stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hedges's Peter Algoud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Parker Fasey in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute Marshal Aliendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman Reiter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Parker Bostock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Hedges's goal looked a bit too open when Dagan Delahide came free, but Peter Algoud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norman Reiter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshal Aliendi in the 70th minute of play. Hedges's Rodd Pears got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter Algoud came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Prospect's Dwight Sayner. But to his dismay, Dwight Sayner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marshal Aliendi got free with Norman Reiter in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brook Bonham hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marshal Aliendi in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norman Reiter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Prospect supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hedges's performance. The match ended with a win for Hedges.
