Spectators: 8566 (Terracing: 6426, Seating: 1969, VIP seats: 171) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eavan Missen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Perth Glory's Jaffery Hayward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davey Haslem in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th minute, Eavan Missen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Brynn Staggard managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Perth Glory's Aaron Orvad fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Perth Glory's Cassidy Chapman got a free kick in the 12th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Davey Haslem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flinders's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perth Glory the free kick. A collision led to Flinders getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Davey Haslem hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaron Orvad got free with Brynn Staggard in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 26 played minutes Flinders got a freekick which was hit by Darin Turnor. In the 27th minute of the match Alan Blestowe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brynn Staggard showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute, Aaron Orvad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brynn Staggard was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 35 minutes into the match, Flinders's goalkeeper Brynn Staggard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Orvad. When Ben Hinwood fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flinders's protests and gave Ben Hinwood a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, Perth Glory's Brynn Staggard threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Danton Knaack, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alan Blestowe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brynn Staggard. Flinders's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Flinders's goal looked a bit too open when Danton Knaack came free, but Brynn Staggard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brynn Staggard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danton Knaack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

In the 51st match minute, Perth Glory was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamie Minter to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Orvad's late challenge caught a Flinders's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Orvad helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Perth Glory got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Orvad. Eavan Missen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Flinders booed when Perth Glory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cassidy Chapman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundson Goodwin hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A collision led to Flinders getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Eavan Missen hit a great ball. After 79 minutes of play, Perth Glory's Danton Knaack made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brynn Staggard was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Davey Haslem got free with Jaffery Hayward in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 91 minutes, Casper Obree managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flinders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casper Obree was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Jamie Minter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Flinders booed when Perth Glory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Sugden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flinders's Everitt Goodward shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jaffery Hayward but with some difficulty.
