After a defensive mix-up in Wowagin's zone, Bryson Newham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rufus Powderham came out of the goal and Bryson Newham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rufus Powderham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryson Newham in the 79th minute of play. Buck Fordham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryson Newham in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rufus Powderham saved Wowagin from getting behind. A collision led to Wowagin getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Hank Greenbank hit a great ball. Rufus Powderham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryson Newham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Dunvegan had played much better football throughout.
