When Brynn Grieve fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunvegan's protests and gave Brynn Grieve a yellow card for diving instead. Brynn Grieve hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Bishop Weatherby kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Dunvegan's Tiger Mealmaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danton Knaack in the 8th minute of play. If Danton Knaack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danton Knaack's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiger Mealmaker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaron Orvad got free with Tiger Mealmaker in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Dunvegan booed when Perth Glory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobs Millar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaffery Hayward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bishop Weatherby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Dunvegan's goal looked a bit too open when Danton Knaack came free, but Tiger Mealmaker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match, Aaron Orvad got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiger Mealmaker was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bryson Newham's late challenge caught a Perth Glory's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bryson Newham helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dunvegan's Bryson Newham got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Danton Knaack made a kick off. Ronald Gruer kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Aaron Orvad might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiger Mealmaker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aaron Orvad ran back to his position shaking his head. Tiger Mealmaker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danton Knaack in the 53rd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 57 minutes into the game, when Alan Blestowe put in a rough tackle. 57 minutes into the game, one of Perth Glory:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 59 minutes, Dunvegan's Bryson Newham got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jaffery Hayward. Aaron Orvad hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Jaffery Hayward made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryson Newham in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Perth Glory's goalkeeper Jaffery Hayward had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bishop Weatherby. In the 70th minute, Bishop Weatherby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaffery Hayward showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryson Newham, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Bryson Newham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaffery Hayward having to interfere. After 88 minutes of play Dunvegan's Ronald Gruer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
