Wowagin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Concordia the free kick. The supporters of Concordia booed when Wowagin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berny Mueller didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Jeffray Veitch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rufus Powderham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kris Cave's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rufus Powderham was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wowagin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. With an all-out effort, Concordia's Rufus Powderham threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jeffray Veitch, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 60th minute, Concordia's Kris Cave ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rufus Powderham. Rufus Powderham yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Jeffray Veitch was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Concordia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Jeffray Veitch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Concordia's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeffray Veitch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rufus Powderham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kris Cave had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffray Veitch in the 76th minute of play forced Wowagin's goalkeeper Rufus Powderham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Ringo Limmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wowagin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ringo Limmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kris Cave sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rufus Powderham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Concordia. Concordia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
