Spectators: 8200 (Terracing: 6150, Seating: 1886, VIP seats: 164) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eddy Hanlen got the match started through his kick off. Peter Houldsworth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Arty Bleazard made a huge save. Kramer's Brand Trevena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brye Bailey in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Keith Pincini recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arty Bleazard. Keith Pincini showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Arty Bleazard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Houldsworth in the 10th minute. Eddy Mcinnis kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Brand Trevena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodd Lord in the 16th minute of play. After 18 minutes of play, Kybongs's Stewart Bailey made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brand Trevena was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute Rodd Lord shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brand Trevena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stewart Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Brand Trevena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Houldsworth succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 33rd playminute. If Brye Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brand Trevena came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kybongs's Rodd Lord. But to his dismay, Rodd Lord quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The supporters of Kybongs booed when Kramer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Houldsworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Peter Houldsworth scored 4-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arty Bleazard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd match minute, Kramer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byrne Pinal to maneuver through the defense. When Rodd Lord came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Kybongs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodd Lord couldn't finish the play. Kybongs's Arty Bleazard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Houldsworth in the 68th minute of play. If Brye Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stewart Bailey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brand Trevena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Bailey, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Martyon Benson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 83 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, one of Kybongs:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kybongs. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodd Lord during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rodd Lord hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kybongs's zone, Aron Forrest stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arty Bleazard came out of the goal and Aron Forrest tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arty Bleazard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddy Hanlen, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Hanlen in the 96th minute of play forced Kybongs's goalkeeper Arty Bleazard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kybongs's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
