Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kris Reiter started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Edmund Krause had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Couzens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doyle Cusbert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kris Reiter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Reiter in the 32nd minute of play forced Bankstown's goalkeeper Doyle Cusbert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Pete Carbery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bankstown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pete Carbery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Nero Dollymore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doyle Cusbert was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 44th minute, Damian Couzens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doyle Cusbert was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 48 minutes of play, Byaduk's Nero Dollymore made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doyle Cusbert was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Bankstown players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Byaduk were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Pete Carbery made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Byaduk's Nero Dollymore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doyle Cusbert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 63rd minute, Byaduk's Kris Reiter ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Doyle Cusbert. Doyle Cusbert yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. 69 minutes into the match, Bankstown's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Reiter came free, but Doyle Cusbert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pete Carbery struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Browne Muncaster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bankstown. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pete Carbery in the 77th minute of play forced Byaduk's goalkeeper Browne Muncaster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paco Alcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aden Worrall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Doyle Cusbert made a huge save. Nero Dollymore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Doyle Cusbert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bankstown's Doyle Cusbert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Reiter in the 96th minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Reese Chapman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bankstown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Byaduk the free kick. After 97 played minutes Bankstown got a freekick which was hit by Reese Chapman. Bankstown's Doyle Cusbert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Bankstown from getting a goal against them.
