The supporters of Hellscream booed when Hernani Sydney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam Maybury didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Randell Warhurst showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hernani Sydney's Randell Warhurst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burtt Brotherton in the 9th minute of play. Randell Warhurst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jess Fenwick in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Hernani Sydney got a freekick which was hit by Darley Mcquoid. Edmonds Didlock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam Maybury, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th match minute, Hellscream was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobs Maddern to maneuver through the defense. Brown Tisdell received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Randell Warhurst came out and tried to block the shot, but Brown Tisdell slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jess Fenwick in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Randell Warhurst prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Darren Limmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hernani Sydney fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After having played for 43 minutes, Caine Mcinnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hernani Sydney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caine Mcinnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jess Fenwick made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Hernani Sydney's Sam Maybury made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmonds Didlock was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sam Maybury sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Burtt Brotherton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Baxter Carr in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Hernani Sydney's Braedan Powley. If Darren Limmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darren Limmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmonds Didlock having to interfere. Edmonds Didlock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Limmer in the 85th minute of the match. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hellscream's goalkeeper Edmonds Didlock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edmonds Didlock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darren Limmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Hellscream's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
