The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Byaduk getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Nero Dollymore hit a great ball. Browne Muncaster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Limmer in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Sam Maybury made a precise shot to the right of Browne Muncaster. Byaduk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Hernani Sydney getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Darren Limmer hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Randell Warhurst successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Nero Dollymore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Byaduk's supporters rose to their feet, but Nero Dollymore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Randell Warhurst breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the game, Kris Reiter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Randell Warhurst. Kris Reiter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Nero Dollymore kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Darren Limmer struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Browne Muncaster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hernani Sydney. 37 minutes into the match, Kris Reiter dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Randell Warhurst, 2-1. With a little luck, Hernani Sydney's Randell Warhurst got control of the ball when Nero Dollymore tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Sam Maybury ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Browne Muncaster was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kris Reiter was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hernani Sydney's goalkeeper Randell Warhurst, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sam Maybury scored 2-3 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Browne Muncaster, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute, Kris Reiter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Byaduk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Jerrard Aistrope kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Darren Limmer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Randell Warhurst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Reiter in the 70th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Hernani Sydney defense, Kris Reiter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Randell Warhurst. The Hernani Sydney fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Randell Warhurst should have stopped the shot. Damian Couzens took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Randell Warhurst. Randell Warhurst dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. 86 minutes into the match, Damian Couzens notched a goal, 6-3, to the right of Hernani Sydney's Randell Warhurst. Randell Warhurst was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Byaduk's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
