In the 11th minute of the match Crimson Eagles FC got a corner. Rutgers Utd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Porter Simpson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Crimson Eagles FC's Kevin Conlin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Rutgers Utd's Murdock Reisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Porter Simpson in the 18th minute of play. When Jones Addison came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Crimson Eagles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jones Addison couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Crimson Eagles FC's Porter Simpson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Lawrance Shorten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Al Allen in the 31st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Murdock Reisz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 36th minute, Crimson Eagles FC's Porter Simpson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Murdock Reisz. Murdock Reisz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Reese Laing hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Rutgers Utd's goalkeeper Murdock Reisz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Porter Simpson. A collision led to Crimson Eagles FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Kevin Conlin hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Bryden Miels made the kick off in the second half. Lawrance Shorten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Allen in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Rod Facey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Porter Simpson made a precise shot to the right of Murdock Reisz. Rutgers Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Raleigh Mclatchey fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crimson Eagles FC's protests and gave Raleigh Mclatchey a yellow card for diving instead. Raleigh Mclatchey kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Porter Simpson notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Rutgers Utd's Murdock Reisz. Murdock Reisz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reese Laing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Crimson Eagles FC fully deserved thier win.
