When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ryan Tebby made a kick off. When Bennett Warhurst came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Team Cone fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bennett Warhurst couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the game, Berry Wittber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brookton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Team Cone the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Brookton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berry Wittber to maneuver through the defense. Alvin Keato might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oswald Verhaeghen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvin Keato ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Brookton's Berry Wittber dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Niles Hodson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bruce Wakefield firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 84th minute, Alvin Keato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Niles Hodson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Brookton walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
