Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Davey Christina made the kick off which started today's match. Ethan Flesfadar hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Toowoomba Snippers's zone, Remington Pegrum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Porter Connell came out of the goal and Remington Pegrum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Porter Connell came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by fc sturt's Roger Andrews. But to his dismay, Roger Andrews quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 13th minute, Davey Christina fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 18th match minute, Toowoomba Snippers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stewart Reisz to maneuver through the defense. Berkeley Breasley kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Toowoomba Snippers's Porter Connell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Payton Kiel in the 21st minute of play. Porter Connell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Andrews in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, fc sturt's goal looked a bit too open when Davey Christina came free, but Gregg Gilding reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toowoomba Snippers's Porter Connell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Payton Kiel in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Toowoomba Snippers's goalkeeper Porter Connell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Darin Tout hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Davey Christina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregg Gilding was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. fc sturt's Gregg Gilding proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save fc sturt from getting a goal against them. Adolfo Gronow made in the 34th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Stewart Reisz however managed to control. Roger Andrews struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Porter Connell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for fc sturt. fc sturt's Roger Andrews got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Payton Kiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregg Gilding made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Damon Samuels sent off a good shot on target. When Toowoomba Snippers's Damon Samuels in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye fc sturt's goalie prevented a goal. Payton Kiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Porter Connell having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Payton Kiel to make the kick off. With a little luck, Toowoomba Snippers's Porter Connell got control of the ball when Payton Kiel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Payton Kiel managed to get in a good position for a shot. fc sturt's supporters rose to their feet, but Payton Kiel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Porter Connell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th match minute, Toowoomba Snippers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Ambrose to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Toowoomba Snippers's Porter Connell got control of the ball when Payton Kiel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damon Samuels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregg Gilding showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damon Samuels, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Payton Kiel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fc sturt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Payton Kiel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Darin Tout got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Payton Kiel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The fc sturt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Remington Pegrum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Davey Christina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregg Gilding having to interfere. Darin Tout charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darin Tout the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Toowoomba Snippers booed when fc sturt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darin Tout didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Davey Christina notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of fc sturt's Gregg Gilding. Gregg Gilding was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, fc sturt's Roger Andrews ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Porter Connell. Porter Connell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Roger Andrews blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Porter Connell having to make a save. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Toowoomba Snippers's goalkeeper Porter Connell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Toowoomba Snippers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. fc sturt were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
