Dunedoo's Ernest Forrest played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryden Miels in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barry Hardiman in the 9th minute of play forced Rutgers Utd's goalkeeper Murdock Reisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes, Brook Munster mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rutgers Utd and the Dunedoo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rutgers Utd getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Brook Munster hit a great ball. Murdock Reisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Hardiman in the 11th minute of play. The throw-in from Zack Bennett in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dunedoo's Marshall Ridding. Murdock Reisz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Hardiman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st match minute, Dunedoo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barry Hardiman to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darian Beale in the 23rd minute of play forced Rutgers Utd's goalkeeper Murdock Reisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murdock Reisz came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Dunedoo's Barry Hardiman. But to his dismay, Barry Hardiman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Murdock Reisz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darian Beale went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 33rdth minute of the game Barry Hardiman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rutgers Utd's Murdock Reisz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dunedoo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Al Allen scored to the left of an out of position Ernest Forrest, making the score, 1-2. Murdock Reisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Hardiman in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darian Beale in the 40th minute of play forced Rutgers Utd's goalkeeper Murdock Reisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Dunedoo booed when Rutgers Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brook Munster didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murdock Reisz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darian Beale, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Barry Hardiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Murdock Reisz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Darian Beale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Murdock Reisz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rutgers Utd's Murdock Reisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Hardiman in the 83rd minute of play. Dunedoo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
