Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cod Duncan in the 7th minute of play forced Wakatu's goalkeeper Humphry Kuskoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradley Notley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Ronald Parryman made a huge save. Ben Grigson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 18th playminute. Dacosta Bodimeade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wakatu's Humphry Kuskoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cod Duncan in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Dacosta Bodimeade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malbina's supporters rose to their feet, but Dacosta Bodimeade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humphry Kuskoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malbina's Ronald Parryman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Malbina from getting a goal against them. Ronald Parryman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradley Notley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dacosta Bodimeade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Laughton hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cod Duncan made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Wakatu's zone, Dacosta Bodimeade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humphry Kuskoff came out of the goal and Dacosta Bodimeade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Eversden in the 57th minute of play forced Malbina's goalkeeper Ronald Parryman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humphry Kuskoff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lance Mcinnes in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Thomas Brennand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wakatu's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Brennand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronald Parryman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 79 played minutes Wakatu got a freekick which was hit by Ben Grigson. Birrell Wivell charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Birrell Wivell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th match minute, Wakatu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birrell Wivell to maneuver through the defense. Ian Eversden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th match minute, Malbina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlisle Brien to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute of the match Roger Laughton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronald Parryman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Malbina's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Eversden came free, but Ronald Parryman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dacosta Bodimeade got free with Humphry Kuskoff in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Malbina players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wakatu.
