In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Avengers FC's goalkeeper Fabian Castner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Darryl Hess showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Merz, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The supporters of The Avengers FC booed when Keilor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Huff didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Bonnison in the 39th minute of play forced Keilor's goalkeeper Darryl Hess to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keilor's Darryl Hess played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Crawford Wharton in the 41st minute of play. When Dale Huntington came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Keilor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dale Huntington couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bart Bonnison was the one to do the kick off. Darryl Hess stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Crawford Wharton's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Keilor's Darryl Hess played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caine Skittrall in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Bart Bonnison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darryl Hess saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Keilor's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Bonnison came free, but Darryl Hess reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute Bart Bonnison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darryl Hess saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darryl Hess made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Crawford Wharton sent off a good shot on target. Keilor's Duncan Holdsworth quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Archie Fraser, made in the 71st minute of the game. In the 72ndth minute of the game Dale Huntington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Avengers FC's Fabian Castner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Keilor's zone, Crawford Wharton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darryl Hess came out of the goal and Crawford Wharton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabrizio Huff kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 83 played minutes Keilor got a freekick which was hit by Philip Bowen. If Bart Bonnison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Caine Skittrall reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Darryl Hess. The goal made the score 0-2. After 92 played minutes The Avengers FC got a freekick which was hit by Dan Merz. The supporters of The Avengers FC booed when Keilor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan Holdsworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Avengers FC's Jordon Willison shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 97th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Darryl Hess but with some difficulty. Chants of The Avengers FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Keilor had held the ball for most of the match.
