Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brooker Teuma got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Little River Lions! After 4 minutes of play, Southgate's Bernie Aroege made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cregan Grandison was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ed Balaam in the 10th minute of play forced Southgate's goalkeeper Murdock Crane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murdock Crane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conner Kesi in the 11th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Conner Kesi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Murdock Crane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Conner Kesi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Blake Barker fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Southgate's protests and gave Blake Barker a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Little River Lions booed when Southgate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blake Barker didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Brooker Teuma put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cregan Grandison. Brooker Teuma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Cregan Grandison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthony Rhoades kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Murdock Crane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conner Kesi in the 43rd minute of play. After 47 minutes, Kale Monson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Southgate and the Little River Lions players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 played minutes Southgate got a freekick which was hit by Kale Monson. In the 48th minute of the match Payne Monson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murdock Crane skillfully saved the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Conner Kesi made the kick off in the second half. When Southgate's Brooker Teuma in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Little River Lions's goalie prevented a goal. Eddy Ceney took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cregan Grandison. Cregan Grandison dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Murdock Crane made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Ed Balaam sent off a good shot on target. Conner Kesi struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Murdock Crane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Little River Lions. If Conner Kesi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddy Ceney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Little River Lions's goalkeeper Cregan Grandison, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Brooker Teuma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murdock Crane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conner Kesi in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Blake Barker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cregan Grandison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brooker Teuma, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ed Balaam got free with Murdock Crane in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Little River Lions's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
