Seating: 1886, VIP seats: 164) Southgate's Brooker Teuma started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute Eddy Ceney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burt Bleazard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burt Bleazard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernie Aroege went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Murdock Crane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mevlüt Rüstem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Humphry Baptiste managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burakin's supporters rose to their feet, but Humphry Baptiste was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murdock Crane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mevlüt Rüstem in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murdock Crane prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mevlüt Rüstem to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Bernie Aroege was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Southgate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burakin the free kick. Burakin's Mevlüt Rüstem got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Sabastian Seistrup was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Burakin's Jason Dollimore was substituted for Bock Mcwilliam. Burakin made a substitution. Alberto Knaack replaced Biggs Devine. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mevlüt Rüstem in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murdock Crane saved Southgate from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Southgate eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
