Ridgley's Ponciano Climent proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Ridgley from getting a goal against them. Carmichael Schulzes short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Ponciano Climent to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Redlynch's Tommy Pavkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralph Matthes in the 37th minute of play. Berne Samuels charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berne Samuels the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Redlynch got a freekick which was hit by Berne Samuels. If Berne Samuels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ralph Matthes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto do Valle in the 47th minute of play forced Redlynch's goalkeeper Tommy Pavkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Umberto do Valle to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Umberto do Valle notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Redlynch's Tommy Pavkovic. When the final whistle sounded Ridgley left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Redlynch.
