Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dale Huntington started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dale Huntington in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cregan Grandison saved Little River Lions from getting behind. In the 8thth minute of the game Dale Huntington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Little River Lions's Cregan Grandison was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute, Jenkins Mcmurchie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dale Huntington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cregan Grandison having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Buchanan Plummer during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Buchanan Plummer kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Conner Kesi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Little River Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conner Kesi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Keilor's Buchanan Plummer got a free kick in the 30th minute. Buchanan Plummer was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Darryl Hess took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conner Kesi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Little River Lions getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Navarro Korff hit a great ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Edgar Alchin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Keilor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Alchin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conner Kesi to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Keilor defense, Brye Bailey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Darryl Hess. The Keilor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darryl Hess should have stopped the shot. Darryl Hess made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Rhoades in the 60th minute of play. During the 63rd minute of the match Navarro Korff completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Navarro Korff a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Navarro Korff kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of Little River Lions booed when Keilor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jenkins Mcmurchie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duncan Holdsworth hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Anthony Rhoades received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Darryl Hess tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Keilor's Dale Huntington got a free kick in the 80th minute. The supporters of Keilor booed when Little River Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Rhoades didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jenkins Mcmurchie fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Keilor's protests and gave Jenkins Mcmurchie a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Keilor got a freekick which was hit by Jenkins Mcmurchie. In the 95th minute, Ed Balaam made a precise shot to the right of Darryl Hess. Keilor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Keilor's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Little River Lions had won, even though Keilor had held more of the ball.
