The crowd rose to their feet as Bradley Notley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Burt Bleazard. That made the score 1-1 in the 19 minute of play. Humphry Kuskoff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mevlüt Rüstem's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Humphry Kuskoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolph Hines in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Burakin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darley Simpson to maneuver through the defense. Wakatu's Roger Laughton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Burakin. In the 32nd minute Mevlüt Rüstem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humphry Kuskoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wakatu's Humphry Kuskoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mevlüt Rüstem in the 42nd minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Burt Bleazard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Eversden in the 53rd minute of the match. Biggs Devine charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Biggs Devine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Burakin getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Mevlüt Rüstem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humphry Kuskoff having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Rudolph Hines took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Humphry Kuskoff to make any attempt to save it. Rudolph Hines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Humphry Kuskoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burakin made a substitution. Alberto Knaack replaced Biggs Devine. Burakin's Jason Dollimore was substituted for Bock Mcwilliam. After 91 minutes, Ben Grigson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wakatu and the Burakin players grew even worse after the yellow card.
