The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Sam Millar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Maribyrnong FC's Ian de Godoi in the 6th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jaroslaw Czerny was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for PowerSlim Pro LCD through an amazing save. Hale Couzens tried in the game's 8th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Jaroslaw Czerny. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Maribyrnong FC's Kirby Loch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaroslaw Czerny narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The PowerSlim Pro LCD fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when PowerSlim Pro LCD's Joseph Smee looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 15 minutes of play, PowerSlim Pro LCD's Byron Ross made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berny Holdsworth was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute, Maribyrnong FC's Edmílson Mamais ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jaroslaw Czerny. Jaroslaw Czerny yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Maribyrnong FC's Berny Holdsworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cod Thiele in the 23rd minute of play. Ian Renney hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Ian de Godoi hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Berny Holdsworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam Millar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmílson Mamais in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaroslaw Czerny saved PowerSlim Pro LCD from getting behind. With a little luck, PowerSlim Pro LCD's Jaroslaw Czerny got control of the ball when Ian de Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. PowerSlim Pro LCD's Jaroslaw Czerny proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save PowerSlim Pro LCD from getting a goal against them. Hale Couzens's late challenge caught a Maribyrnong FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hale Couzens helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes PowerSlim Pro LCD got a freekick which was hit by Hale Couzens. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian de Godoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Berny Holdsworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Smee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Renney kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th match minute, Maribyrnong FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kirby Loch to maneuver through the defense. Berny Holdsworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cod Thiele, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Byron Ross dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Berny Holdsworth, 2-3. Cod Thiele scored 2-4 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Berny Holdsworth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joseph Smee received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Berny Holdsworth came out and tried to block the shot, but Joseph Smee slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 71st minute. Berny Holdsworth made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Sam Millar sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes into the match, PowerSlim Pro LCD's goal looked a bit too open when Ritchie Tarrats came free, but Jaroslaw Czerny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Maribyrnong FC booed when PowerSlim Pro LCD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Smee didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute of the match Jenkins Glover shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaroslaw Czerny showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Maribyrnong FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Sam Millar scored to the left of an out of position Berny Holdsworth, making the score, 2-6. Jaroslaw Czerny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian de Godoi in the 87th minute of the match. When Luke Edwards fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maribyrnong FC's protests and gave Luke Edwards a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Maribyrnong FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Luke Edwards hit a great ball. Maribyrnong FC's Berny Holdsworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Millar in the 94th minute of play.
