When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Abraham Laing sped through Liverpool East FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonty Starling. 6 minutes into the match, Liverpool East FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Laing came free, but Jonty Starling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Ed Mckinley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonty Starling was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience was convinced that Abraham Laing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonty Starling was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Liverpool East FC's Jonty Starling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Laing in the 13th minute of play. Jonty Starling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Laing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Amputees FC were awarded a corner. Marcus Roach went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Amputees FC's corner Marcus Roach fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonty Starling quite easily take care of the ball. Donovan Hogan's late challenge caught a Amputees FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donovan Hogan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Liverpool East FC's Donovan Hogan got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Jonty Starling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abraham Laing's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Abraham Laing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amputees FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Laing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonty Starling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 minutes, Arne Gronow mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amputees FC and the Liverpool East FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Amputees FC got a freekick which was hit by Arne Gronow. 36 minutes into the match, Liverpool East FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Mckinley came free, but Jonty Starling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Laing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abraham Laing in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonty Starling prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martyon Lorenz to make the kick off. Dean Watts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephan Wivell, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Abraham Laing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonty Starling having to interfere. After 56 minutes, Navin Starling mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liverpool East FC and the Amputees FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Navin Starling kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Abraham Laing who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Jonty Starling when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Liverpool East FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Laing came free, but Jonty Starling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arne Gronow succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 62nd playminute. In the 65th minute, Steve Bohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Roach struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Jonty Starling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amputees FC. Liverpool East FC's Edmonds Johnson was substituted for Stephan Wivell. Barnes Muggleton kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Jonty Starling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abraham Laing's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Jonty Starling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pete Stebbing in the 73rd minute. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Abraham Laing sped through Liverpool East FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonty Starling. Abraham Laing got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-5 in the right cross in the 79th match minute before Jonty Starling had time to react. In the 82nd match minute, Amputees FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Sinden to maneuver through the defense. Edmonds Johnson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Laing in the 86th minute of play forced Liverpool East FC's goalkeeper Jonty Starling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marcus Roach came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Amputees FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Roach couldn't finish the play. After 94 played minutes Abraham Laing could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-7 into the left cross. When the match was over Amputees FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Liverpool East FC throughout the match.
