Maribyrnong FC's Berny Holdsworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humphry Chant in the 2nd minute of play. A collision led to Maribyrnong FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jenkins Glover hit a great ball. When Knaggel FC's Bengt-Åke Kvist in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maribyrnong FC's goalie prevented a goal. 13 minutes into the game, Knaggel FC's Bengt-Åke Kvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berny Holdsworth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Maribyrnong FC's goal looked a bit too open when Humphry Chant came free, but Berny Holdsworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Humphry Chant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berny Holdsworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humphry Chant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Berny Holdsworth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lawrence Bonnison struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Berny Holdsworth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knaggel FC. 24 minutes into the game, Barnes Garing was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Knaggel FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maribyrnong FC the free kick. Barnes Garing kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Mark Monson hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Bill Smalley hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Luke Edwards shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Selim Tuğbay showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 36th minute Barnes Garing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berny Holdsworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berny Holdsworth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Kvist in the 37th minute of play. Maribyrnong FC's Berny Holdsworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnes Garing in the 40th minute of play. Barnes Garing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berny Holdsworth having to interfere. Jenkins Glover hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Bengt-Åke Kvist struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Berny Holdsworth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knaggel FC. In the 48th minute, Bengt-Åke Kvist made a precise shot to the right of Berny Holdsworth. Maribyrnong FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half Knaggel FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Humphry Chant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knaggel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Humphry Chant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berny Holdsworth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maribyrnong FC's Berny Holdsworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humphry Chant in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Maribyrnong FC booed when Knaggel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnes Garing didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 played minutes Maribyrnong FC got a freekick which was hit by Jenkins Glover. In the 70th minute, Humphry Chant ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Berny Holdsworth was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. A collision led to Maribyrnong FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Edmílson Mamais hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Knaggel FC's Bengt-Åke Kvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Ritchie Tarrats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selim Tuğbay having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, Knaggel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brooker Crapp to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian de Godoi in the 88th minute of play forced Knaggel FC's goalkeeper Selim Tuğbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Selim Tuğbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian de Godoi in the 96th minute of play. The Maribyrnong FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Knaggel FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
