After a defensive mix-up in Cosmic Pigeons's zone, Martyon Lorenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Jury came out of the goal and Martyon Lorenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosmic Pigeons's Dalwood Leach got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Cole Bundy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosmic Pigeons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Cole Bundy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cole Bundy got free with Jonty Starling in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Drew Keato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Jonty Starling made a huge save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Liverpool East FC fully deserved thier win.
