In the 7th match minute, Canobolas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthias Odd to maneuver through the defense. After 13 minutes, Rufus Pound mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coventry City FC and the Canobolas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Coventry City FC's Rufus Pound got a free kick in the 13th minute. Irwin Thomas scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eden Hanslow, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th minute of the match Canobolas got a corner. Coventry City FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ignacio Manuel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eden Hanslow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Manuel in the 21st minute of play. Nathaniel Moorby made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Stewart Greenbank sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute Irwin Thomas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eden Hanslow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Ignacio Manuel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canobolas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 33 minutes, Stewart Greenbank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coventry City FC and the Canobolas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the Coventry City FC defense, Shane Warne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eden Hanslow. The Coventry City FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eden Hanslow should have stopped the shot. Lawrance Sobczak took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nathaniel Moorby. Eden Hanslow was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the match had gone on for 50 minutes, Ignacio Manuel took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Eden Hanslow to make any attempt to save it. Irwin Thomas scored 1-7 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eden Hanslow, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Coventry City FC made a substitution. Jeffers Loch replaced Lawrance Sobczak. In the 65th minute, Ignacio Manuel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eden Hanslow was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-9. Nathaniel Moorby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Broderick Twite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shane Warne scored 1-10 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eden Hanslow, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Rufus Pound had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Broderick Twite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nathaniel Moorby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rufus Pound in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Coventry City FC's goalkeeper Eden Hanslow had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shane Warne. 89 minutes into the game, Irwin Thomas lined in a short shot 1-11 behind a frustrated Eden Hanslow. 93 minutes into the match, Coventry City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjy Nelson came free, but Eden Hanslow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Archie Waller kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the match was over Canobolas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Coventry City FC throughout the match.
