After a defensive mix-up in Thoona's zone, Bradshaw Waller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petre Dimofte came out of the goal and Bradshaw Waller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alessandro Sacchi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petre Dimofte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Callaghan to make the kick off. The supporters of Stratton FC booed when Thoona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Burns Pegrum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thoona walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
