In a very dangerous position, a player in Gradger fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! After having played for 9 minutes, Lorimer Rear managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gradger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lorimer Rear was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11thth minute of the game Nash Pukallus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gradger's Nelson Crane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kangaroos's Nash Pukallus managed to work through Gradger's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Nash Pukallus dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Nash Pukallus struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Nelson Crane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kangaroos. After a rather tough play, Kangaroos's Malcolm Hopkins got a free kick in the 27th minute. Nash Pukallus scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelson Crane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Bradshaw Kean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bradshaw Kean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Archie Rutledge's late challenge caught a Kangaroos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Archie Rutledge helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Archie Rutledge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelson Crane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nash Pukallus, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 42 played minutes Gradger got a freekick which was hit by Alan Freeman. 44 minutes into the game, Nash Pukallus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Nelson Crane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Adam Clubley's late challenge caught a Gradger's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adam Clubley helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gradger booed when Kangaroos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Clubley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Nash Pukallus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kangaroos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. With a little luck, Gradger's Nelson Crane got control of the ball when Nash Pukallus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nelson Crane came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Kangaroos's Bradshaw Kean. But to his dismay, Bradshaw Kean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Nelson Crane made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Nash Pukallus sent off a good shot on target. Nash Pukallus's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Nelson Crane skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Gradger defense, Nash Pukallus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Crane. The Gradger fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Crane should have stopped the shot. When Lorimer Rear fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gradger's protests and gave Lorimer Rear a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Lorimer Rear hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Gradger's Lorimer Rear got a free kick in the 84th minute. A collision led to Kangaroos getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Adam Clubley hit a great ball. Kangaroos's Matthew Tout was substituted for Nash Pukallus. Phil Chapman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Gradger got a freekick which was hit by Archie Rutledge. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kangaroos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
