Bodo Rudwaleit was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fred Nyhuus showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Broderick Todman charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Broderick Todman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Blaxland FC made a substitution. Quincy Howard replaced Davey Isaac. When Jajat Handoyo came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Blaxland FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jajat Handoyo couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Rodd Tucknott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bodo Rudwaleit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jajat Handoyo in the 24th minute of the match. In the 36th play minute Fred Nyhuus came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bodo Rudwaleit. 3-0. The supporters of Blaxland FC booed when Don Osvaldo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Luken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bart Toth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bodo Rudwaleit having to interfere. Fred Nyhuus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Bodo Rudwaleit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jajat Handoyo to make the kick off. The supporters of Blaxland FC booed when Don Osvaldo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurence Grieve didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Blaxland FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Nikitas Karelas made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Keefer Turnbull sent off a good shot on target. After 85 played minutes Don Osvaldo FC got a freekick which was hit by Art Obree. Quincy Howard kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Blaxland FC's Barney Ross was substituted for Bernard Miels. For all the effort they put into the match, the Don Osvaldo FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Blaxland FC.
