Spectators: 10819 (Terracing: 8115, Seating: 2488, VIP seats: 216) Titipounamu's Nando Pereira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Art Hauschildt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Inestrosa in the 4th minute of play. In the 4th minute, Cai Inestrosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Southern Thrashers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Southern Thrashers's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Askelöf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nando Pereira. The crowd rose to their feet as Titipounamu's Nando Pereira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nils-Erik Askelöf. That made the score 1-1 after 10 minutes of play. With an all-out effort, Titipounamu's Nils-Erik Askelöf threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximilian Larsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Art Hauschildt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nurkan Salah in the 19th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Southern Thrashers's Nurkan Salah nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Art Hauschildt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 25 minutes Southern Thrashers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Melchor Sayveon who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Melchor Sayveon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Southern Thrashers's Nils-Erik Askelöf did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nando Pereira in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils-Erik Askelöf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the match, Southern Thrashers's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Askelöf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nando Pereira. 33 minutes into the match, Southern Thrashers's goal looked a bit too open when Maximilian Larsson came free, but Nils-Erik Askelöf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximilian Larsson was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With an all-out effort, Titipounamu's Nils-Erik Askelöf threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximilian Larsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Titipounamu defense, Nurkan Salah kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Art Hauschildt. The Titipounamu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Art Hauschildt should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute, Oz Beer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute of the match, Nando Pereira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nils-Erik Askelöf was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nando Pereira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Nils-Erik Askelöf when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cai Inestrosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nando Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Erik Askelöf having to interfere. Nils-Erik Askelöf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Southern Thrashers's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Pereira came free, but Nils-Erik Askelöf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Titipounamu's Kees Van Bever quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Battle Minne, made in the 70th minute of the game. Nils-Erik Askelöf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Remington Dobson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nils-Erik Askelöf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remington Dobson in the 79th minute of the match. Art Hauschildt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nurkan Salah in the 82nd minute of play. The throw-in from Cebo Arnero in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Titipounamu's Edson Mendes. A collision led to Southern Thrashers getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Cai Inestrosa hit a great ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Nando Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Titipounamu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cebo Arnero kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The throw-in from Cebo Arnero in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Titipounamu's Remington Dobson.
