An unexpectedly hard shot by 乔康义 in the 5th minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mo Salah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvaldo Gaspar having to make a save. Ray Clemence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pasha Datsiuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Ray Clemence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Starri Ööpik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Frenchville Sports Club's goal looked a bit too open when Mo Salah came free, but Edvaldo Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, Manly FC's Mo Salah made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edvaldo Gaspar was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the match, Frenchville Sports Club's Pasha Datsiuk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ray Clemence narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Starri Ööpik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irving Bonnison made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Frenchville Sports Club's 乔康义. Ray Clemence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Starri Ööpik in the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to Manly FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Neville Byrnes hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mo Salah was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Frenchville Sports Club's Nontas Iordanidis got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neville Byrnes in the 57th minute of play forced Frenchville Sports Club's goalkeeper Edvaldo Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nontas Iordanidis kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. When Pasha Datsiuk came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Frenchville Sports Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pasha Datsiuk couldn't finish the play. Frenchville Sports Club's Csaba Baló was substituted for Nontas Iordanidis. Fleming Wal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Edvaldo Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Burt Gruer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvaldo Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Aldridge in the 71st minute of the match. Frenchville Sports Club's Edvaldo Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Aldridge in the 74th minute of play. John Aldridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 83 minutes, Pasha Datsiuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frenchville Sports Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pasha Datsiuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John Aldridge in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvaldo Gaspar saved Frenchville Sports Club from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Irving Bonnison in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Frenchville Sports Club's 乔康义. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quincy Slattery in the 93rd minute of play. Edvaldo Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Aldridge in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Manly FC fully deserved thier win.
