The referee showed Ulf Ahlqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulf Ahlqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Fred Hellqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When Leighton Davies fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored England's protests and gave Leighton Davies a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leighton Davies to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Kumla BK's Peter Salqvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of England booed when Kumla BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Biörkquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Hellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Seth Young hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Johannes Ahlquist kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Xavier Gallagher kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute of the match Gert Olsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Khalid Kennedy skillfully saved the ball. Micah Macdonald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Fred Hellqvist made a huge save. The throw-in from Leighton Davies in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kumla BK's Johannes Ahlquist. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. England's Khalid Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Salqvist in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of England booed when Kumla BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Forss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Hellqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kyle Cox in the 73rd minute. A collision led to England getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Kyle Cox hit a great ball. Caelan Hayes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caelan Hayes took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fred Hellqvist. Fred Hellqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Micah Macdonald got free with Fred Hellqvist in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fred Hellqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caelan Hayes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the England players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
