The ball went over the crossbar instead. Merūnas Ambrazas kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Nakties Klajūnai's Juozapas Ratkus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fodor Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Nakties Klajūnai's Virgilijus Ratkevičius got a free kick in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Nakties Klajūnai defense, Major Barna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benne Verdonk. The Nakties Klajūnai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benne Verdonk should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takacs Tibor in the 21st minute of play forced Nakties Klajūnai's goalkeeper Benne Verdonk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nakties Klajūnai's Benne Verdonk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 26th minute of play forced Nakties Klajūnai's goalkeeper Benne Verdonk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Benne Verdonk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. 29 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benne Verdonk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. Benne Verdonk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Major Barna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benne Verdonk. Nakties Klajūnai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 42nd minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benne Verdonk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benne Verdonk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hegedus Henrik went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Takacs Tibor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benne Verdonk. That made the score 1-4 in the 50 minute of play. Benne Verdonk was a little too slow when Balazs Lajos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-5. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Benne Verdonk made a huge save. 61 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benne Verdonk, 1-6. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benne Verdonk having to interfere. In the 68th minute Balazs Lajos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benne Verdonk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Major Barna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benne Verdonk was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. 75 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benne Verdonk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antal Valentin took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benne Verdonk. Benne Verdonk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. Juras Jankaitis might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fodor Daniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juras Jankaitis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th match minute, Nakties Klajūnai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilijus Ratkevičius to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hegedus Henrik to maneuver through the defense. In the 90thth minute of the game Mathijs Grommers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Nakties Klajūnai's Virgilijus Ratkevičius got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Hungary played a much better game than Nakties Klajūnai and deserved their victory. The Nakties Klajūnai players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
