Waga Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Takacs Tibor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the game, Tekin Doğanlar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FENERBAHÇE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. Tekin Doğanlar kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Elon-Reeve Muška made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 64th minute. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by FENERBAHÇE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Elon-Reeve Muška quite easily take care of the ball. FENERBAHÇE's Greger Andberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 67th minute. After 93 played minutes FENERBAHÇE got a freekick which was hit by Lapurdi Jaramillo. In the 96th play minute Antal Valentin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elon-Reeve Muška. 1-3. The FENERBAHÇE fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
