Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Petruț Dicu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 刘洋朗 in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. Gustavo Carrasqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. In the 28th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Dicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petruț Dicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by 刘洋朗 in the 34th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 刘洋朗 in the 37th minute of the match. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Gois in the 56th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Exército Português's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Petruț Dicu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Avgustin Chupetlovski's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avgustin Chupetlovski helped the player get up and apologised. Avgustin Chupetlovski kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Exército Português's Bruno Soveral in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Gergely Balázs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Gergely Balázs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
