The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. AKÇAABAT SEBATSPOR's attentive Roberto-Carlos Maldini managed to snatch the ball when Malte Schiele made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Koniarek in the 4th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mustafa Yaşar Revha got free with Tommy Kahn in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alperen Olmuş saved AKÇAABAT SEBATSPOR from getting behind. Alperen Olmuş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Yaşar Revha came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of AKÇAABAT SEBATSPOR booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marek Koniarek's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute AKÇAABAT SEBATSPOR were awarded a corner. Başaran Yücesan went to the cornerflag to take it. AKÇAABAT SEBATSPOR's Alperen Olmuş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 22nd minute of play. Mustafa Yaşar Revha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. When Alim Bilge fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AKÇAABAT SEBATSPOR's protests and gave Alim Bilge a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Germany booed when AKÇAABAT SEBATSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alim Bilge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Albin Holweck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Ozan Özkoc in the 35th minute of play. Germany:s Tommy Kahn showed great skill when he stopped Başaran Yücesan:s penalty. In the 40th minute of the match AKÇAABAT SEBATSPOR got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Başaran Yücesan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Ozan Özkoc got free with Tommy Kahn in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Marek Koniarek kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-0 in the 46 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute, Marek Koniarek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AKÇAABAT SEBATSPOR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Albin Holweck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mustafa Yaşar Revha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 71 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Mustafa Yaşar Revha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. When Mustafa Yaşar Revha came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the AKÇAABAT SEBATSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustafa Yaşar Revha couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Albin Holweck hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Koniarek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alim Bilge hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Başaran Yücesan kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Ahmet Ozan Özkoc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Ozan Özkoc, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
