An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 21st minute of play forced Campeones del Mundo's goalkeeper Daniel Igon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Igon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Gorosti in the 26th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Igon was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Campeones del Mundo reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Fulgencio Ferrer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 3-0 became the score in the 54th minute when Guillermo Gorosti elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fulgencio Ferrer in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Ferrer in the 59th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. In the 61st minute of the match Guillermo Gorosti sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn skillfully saved the ball. After 62 minutes, Fulgencio Ferrer made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Rosendo Bide was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. Grant Verga hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Ladislao Fraco in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Germany's Adrian Dreifuss. Germany's attentive Adrian Dreifuss managed to snatch the ball when Ladislao Fraco made a throw-in in the 84th minute of the game. Eusebio Afonso hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The supporters of Campeones del Mundo booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janik Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Gorosti in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Campeones del Mundo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Germany had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
